昨日2/3は節分の日でしたね。
子ども達に「Did you see Deamon? 」と聞くと、「Yes!!」「怖くなかった！」「豆をまいた！」など楽しそうに教えてくれました。
それでは、早速今週のサタデースクールの様子をご紹介いたします。
In gym today we practiced our jump roping skills. It was a great workout!
今日の体育館では、縄跳びの練習をしました。とても良いトレーニングになりました。
During textbook time we learned about the countryside. Today’s focus was on reading and finding key information in the text.
教科書の時間では、田舎について学びました。今日のフォーカスは、文章を読んで重要な情報を見つけることでした。
During our ESL lesson we reviewed food and then had to think about what kind of container it belonged it. The matching game was a lot of fun!
ESLのレッスンでは、食べ物について復習し、それがどのような容器に入っているかを考えました。マッチングゲームはとても楽しかったです。
In music we played the taiko drum. We used the drum to practice English pronunciation by beating the drum the same number of times as the number of syllables in the word.
音楽では、和太鼓を演奏しました。英語の発音を練習するために、単語の音節の数と同じ回数、太鼓を叩きました。
For our craft today we made lion masks. It was interesting to see how everyone designed their manes.
今日のクラフトでは、ライオンのお面を作りました。皆がどのようにたてがみをデザインしたのか、興味深かったです。
Today we picked a boardgame we’ve never played before. The rules were difficult, so we made our own rules and had so much fun running away from the monster!
今日は今までやったことのないボードゲームを選びました。ルールが難しかったので、自分たちでルールを作り、モンスターから逃げるのがとても楽しかったです。
In ESL we learned about different rooms in our homes. We connected what we learned to common abbreviations in Japan, like 3LDK.
ESLでは、家の中のさまざまな部屋について学びました。3LDKなど、日本でよく使われる略語と結びつけて勉強しました。
In ESL, we created our own stories using special dice with phrases on them. The children laughed so much at some of the stories they made and they had even more fun cleaning up the dice.
ESLでは、サイコロに書かれたフレーズを使って、自分たちのストーリーを作りました。サイコロで作った物語に子どもたちは大笑いし、サイコロを片付けるのも楽しんでいました。
During our free reading today, we learned about exploring space and trains from different countries. Some of us also enjoyed playing “I Spy.”
今日の自由読書では、宇宙探検やいろいろな国の列車について学びました。また、”I Spy “をして楽しむ子もいました。
During our tech time we did Understanding the World. Some children explored the body and some learned about dinosaurs.
技術の時間には、「世界を理解する」をしました。人体について調べたり、恐竜について学んだりしました。
