あっという間に春が過ぎ去り、季節は梅雨に移り変わりました。
ジメジメした天気が続きますが、室内や戸外に関係なく、
子どもたちは汗ばみながらも色々なアクティビティを楽しんでいます。
それでは、今週のサタデースクールの様子をご紹介します。

The Owls played King’s Court in gym class.
They battled each other to be the first to reach the throne!
OwlsクラスはGymの時間にKing’s Courtというゲームをしました。
チーム対抗でじゃんけんをして勝ち進んでいき、最後のコーンまでたどり着けば勝ちというものです。
自然と応援にも力が入る子ども達でした。
To learn about numbers, the Owls sang “7 Steps”.
They sang and walked around the room to show off their counting skills!
数字に慣れるようになるため、Owlsクラスでは“７Steps”という曲を歌いました。
歌いながら教室をめいっぱい使って体を動かしながら1~7の数字をカウントしていきました。
The Red class practiced caring for the library books today and discussed ways that we can keep the library clean and organized!
Redクラスでは図書の時間に本を大切にすることについて学びました。
図書室を使う際にどのようにすれば綺麗で整理整頓された図書室が保たれるのか話し合っています。
The Orange and Green classes learned about activities and health.
They played a fun quiz game to practice their communication skills.
OrangeクラスとGreenクラスでは活動と健康について学びました。
クイズに答えながら楽しくコミュニケーションスキルを身につけていきます。
The Owls made a cute shark headband during their craft time.
They are working on their fine motor skills!
クラフトの時間には可愛いサメのヘッドバンドを作成しました。
手先を上手に使って完成させています。
The Wolves played an association game to connect words that are linked.
Wolvesクラスでは連想ゲームしました。ある単語から連想される単語を描きだしていきます。
大人も考えつかないような面白い単語が出てきていて、子ども達の想像力に驚かされました。
To learn about animals, the Cubs sang “Old MacDonald’s Farm” and recalled the sound that each animal makes.
Cubsクラスでは”Old MacDonald’s Farm”という曲を歌いながら動物とその鳴き声について学びました。
身振り手振りも加えてその動物になりきって歌う子ども達でした。
The Advanced Yellow class made a crossword in their language lesson.
They were given a hint, and had to figure out the next word in the puzzle.
Advanced YellowクラスでLanguage Lessonの時間にクロスワードにチャレンジしました。
子ども達は先生が出すヒントをもとにクロスワードの答えとなる単語を当てていきます。
The elementary school children continued to use Kid’s A-Z to practice their reading and spelling skills.
小学生クラスではKids A-Zを使ってリーディングとスペリングの練習をゲーム感覚で楽しみながら行っています。
The Jaguars studied activities and health today.
They used their bodies to act out different movements.
Jaguarsクラスではアクティビティと健康をテーマに、
先生が言うアクティビティswimmingやrunning、skating などを実際の動きをしながら練習しています。
