昼夜の寒暖の差もだんだんと大きくなり、少しずつ冬の訪れを感じる頃となりました。
子ども達は外遊びから園内に戻る頃には汗をにじませる程、寒さを吹き飛ばして外遊びを楽しんでいます。
それでは、今週のサタデースクールの様子をご紹介いたします。
The children listed as many animals as they could think of and then we came up with categories that they belonged to,
like animals with wings, fantasy animals etc. They had to group the animals as quickly as possible.
子どもたちは思いつく限りの動物をリストアップし、翼のある動物、空想上の動物など、
それらの動物が属するカテゴリーを考えました。
Today we reviewed the alphabet, but this time the children had to catch the mistakes
as the teacher made them and then correct the mistakes.
アルファベットの復習をしました。今回はいつもと違い、
子ども達が先生の書いた間違いを指摘するというものでした。
During ESL we played a spelling game.
The teacher would show the class a word and two children as the board had to race to spell it correctly.
ESLでは、スペルゲームをしました。先生が出す単語を見て、
子どもたちがホワイトボードにその単語を正しく書けるか競争します。
For our craft today, the children had fun making
delicious looking spaghetti and meatballs out of paper plates, paper, and string.
今日のクラフトでは、紙皿と紙と毛糸を使って、
美味しそうなスパゲッティとミートボールを楽しく作りました。
In gym the children played a fun relay race game
where they competed against other teams to get the most bean bags in their hoops.
Gymの時間では、他のチームとお手玉をフープに入れる数を競う楽しいリレーゲームをしました。
Today in our ESL lesson we learned about different places and then discussed where we want to go.
今日のESLレッスンでは、様々な場所について学び、どこに行きたいかを話し合いました。
Today during our textbook time, we worked in our activity books to review the past unit.
教科書の時間には、アクティビティブックを使って、過去形の章を復習をしました。
In music we continued practicing the xylophone and our monthly songs
“What Did the Chicken Say on Thanksgiving Day?”, “Baby Turkey Chant,”, “Wishbone Chant,” and
“Today’s Thanksgiving Day.”
Musicの時間では、木琴の練習を続け、毎月の歌

“Wishbone Chant”（ウィッシュボーンチャント）、そして
“Today’s Thanksgiving Day “の練習をしました。
Today in technology we used the iPads to practice our vocabulary and reading with a series of fun games.
今日のテクノロジーの時間では、iPadを使い、楽しいゲームで語彙と読解の練習をしました。
During our library time, the children found books the piqued their interest and took time to independently read.
図書の時間では、子供たちは興味のある本を見つけ、自主的に読む時間を楽しみました。
