Advanced Orange were a little more thoughtful about their wishes. Some children started with, “I wish for…” then stopped to think and asked the teacher, “How do you say…?” It turned into a fun way to learn new words connected to what they really wanted to express!
Advanced Orangeクラスの子ども達は、自分の願いについて少し考えを巡らせました。何人かは願い事を言いかけ、考え込んで先生に「…ってどう言うの？」と尋ねました。これが、子ども達が本当に表現したいことに関する文章や単語を学ぶ、楽しくもありながら実践的な学びにつながりました。
そんな子ども達を、キリンも静かに見守ります…。
We set up two locations so the children could practice visiting shrines! Instructions were posted on the wall: ring the bell, throw money, bow twice, clap twice, and make a wish. Some children wished to become athletes or to get a Switch 2, but many wished for more money!
子ども達が神社参拝の練習ができるよう、鈴と狛犬？を用意をしました。あら、神社とお稲荷さんが混在していますね…。
手順は紙に書いて壁に貼りました、鈴を鳴らし、お賽銭を入れ、二礼二拍手一礼で願い事をしましょう。アスリートになりたいとか、Switch 2が欲しいという子もいましたが、多くの子が「もっとお金が欲しい！」と願っていました…。
Owls and Blue Class came together for gym today! The children stacked soft blocks to create a pretend shrine money box, and the soft balls on the sidelines became “coins” to throw inside. The fun twist was that the children inside the money box tried to intercept all the coins!
OwlsとBlueクラスが今日は一緒に体育の時間を過ごしました。なんと、真ん中がですね、お賽銭箱なんです！周りにいる子ども達は、柔らかいボールを「お金」に見立ててお賽銭箱へ投げ入れました。お賽銭箱の中に入った子ども達は、お賽銭をキャッチするのに大忙しでした！おいくら集まりました？
The preschool classes made ema (wish plaques) using origami. Although there were many steps involved, the children worked together and helped each other with the folding.
幼稚園のクラスでは折り紙で絵馬を作りました。工程は多くありましたが、子ども達は協力し合い、折り方を助け合いながら取り組みました。
When visiting the shrines, the preschool classes hung their ema on a small rack beside them. “I hope our wishes come true!” they exclaimed excitedly as they carefully placed their plaques.
神社を訪れた子ども達は、小さな棚に絵馬を掛けました。「願いが叶いますように！」と、慎重に絵馬を掲げていました。よーくお祈りしましょう。
We had a Karuta race! The children were given descriptions of an animal and then they ran to be the first to touch the card.
かるた取り競争をしました！子ども達は動物の説明を聞いて、一番早くカードにタッチできるよう走りました。
After finishing their fortune-telling boxes, Pink and Purple exchanged crafts so they could test their luck using their friends’ boxes. They loved comparing their results with one another!
占いボックスを作り終えたPinkクラスとPurpleクラスは、お互いのボックスを交換して運試しをしました。みんなで結果を比べあいました。
Blueクラスでは移動手段について学びました。真ん中の子どもはフラフープをハンドルに見立てて運転ごっこをしました。先生が様々な場所のヒントを出すと、「運転手」はそれを当てて正しい場所へ移動しなければなりませんでした。
