To prepare for next month’s restaurant roleplay, Advanced Yellow held their very own pizza restaurant! While being a customer was easy and fun, the children quickly discovered that being a waiter was much more challenging than they expected! Remembering all the toppings and drink orders without mixing them up took a lot of concentration. There were plenty of giggles as waiters hurried to deliver the correct pizzas to their customers!

Advanced Orange also took on the restaurant challenge! Just like Advanced Yellow, they realized that remembering orders is not as simple as it looks. Some waiters had to resist the temptation to reach across the table and grab the ingredients themselves!

As the oldest class, Advanced Green aimed high with their menu ideas! However, they quickly realized that not every item they imagined was available at school. They had to return to the drawing board several times to simplify their ideas and create a menu that was both creative and realistic.

Today, the preschool classes combined for several activities! During reading and writing time, the children rotated through skill-based stations tailored to their individual levels. While waiting for their turn, students enjoyed alphabet recognition toys and puzzles to keep their learning going in a fun and engaging way.

For project time, the children visited the craft room to “order” their materials. Using the phrase, “I need…,” they requested items while the teachers gathered them. Because this was their only day to access the craft room, careful planning was essential! The children had to think ahead and decide exactly what they would need before placing their “orders.”

To match this month’s theme, the children played a lively soup game! They tossed “ingredients” into a big bowl and then pretended to stir and enjoy their delicious creation together.

To practice our communication skills, we played “3 questions” and tried to guess which activity was hidden on our backs!
