10月に入ってもまだ暑い日が続きますが、
園内はすっかりハロウィン仕様に模様替えしております。
子ども達もハロウィンの飾りを見て、うわ～！と目をキラキラさせて
ハロウィンパーティーを心待ちにしています。
それでは、今週のサタデースクールを紹介いたします。
To review their course book vocabulary, the Wolves played a game of Pictionary. One child would come to the front and draw a picture of the vocabulary while the others guessed what it was. The winner could be the next artist as well as get one point for themselves! テキストの単語を復習するために、ウルフたちはお絵かきゲームをした。一人が前に出て、その単語の絵を書き、他の子どもたちはそれが何なのかを当てます。正解すると次の絵描きになれるだけでなく、自分に1ポイント入るという仕組みです。
The Jaguars reviewed their course book vocabulary with a spelling game! They played a letter guessing game, where with each wrong guess, a part of a clown was erased. However after figuring out a few letters, the children could quickly pick up on which vocabulary it might be! Jaguarsは、スペリング・ゲームでテキストの単語を復習しました！子どもたちは単語のスペルを一文字ずつ当ていきます。間違った文字を当てるたびに、ピエロの一部が消されていくゲームです。しかし、いくつかの文字がわかると、子どもたちはどの単語かすぐにわかるようになりました！
The Cubs listened to a spooky story about a ghost entering a haunted house! Throughout each page, the made a guess as to what might be under the flaps. At the last page, the children were happily surprised to find a mirror, which they laughed and made silly faces at. Cubは、お化け屋敷に入るお化けについての不気味な話を聞きました！各ページをめくるたびに、折り返しの下に何があるのか、子どもたちは推理しました。最後のページでは、子どもたちは鏡を見つけて嬉しそうに驚き、おどけた顔をして笑っていました。
Cubs used their literacy time to practice drawing Halloween monsters on butcher paper! The children tried to see who could draw the scariest creature to scare the teacher the most! Cubはリテラシーの時間を使って、大きな模造紙にハロウィーンのモンスターを描く練習をした！誰が一番先生を怖がらせることができるかを競いました！
From this month, Red and Blue Classes will be combining their C&L2 and Project periods. The children were tasked with finding certain Halloween Monsters, and the teams who found them all were asked to come to the front and point it out for their classmates. 今月からRedとBlueのクラスは、C&L2とProjectの時間を組み合わせることになりました。子どもたちは、あるハロウィーン・モンスターを見つけるという課題を与えられ、すべて見つけたチームはクラス全員の前に出て、クラスメートに答えを発表していきました。
The Wolves took at look at the Haunted House poster for their Project time! On the poster, there were 10 tiny penguins which were hidden all over the page. The Wolves worked together to find these penguins, and said, “I found it!” when they wanted to report their discovery to their friends. Wolvesはプロジェクトの時間にお化け屋敷のポスターを見ました！そのポスターには、小さなペンギンが10羽、ページのあちこちに隠されていた。子どもたちは力を合わせてペンギンを見つけ、「I found it！（見つけたよ！）」と友だち同士で話し合っていました。
This month, the elementary classes will be playing a game of “Magic Cauldron” where groups needed to grab 3 items to complete their magic potion: a pumpkin (balls), an elixir (bowling pins), and a frog (alphabet letters). The Red and Blue Class especially enjoyed this game, and got very competitive when teachers told them they could steal ingredients from other teams!今月はハロウィンをテーマに小学生クラスの子どもたちは「魔法の大鍋」というゲームを楽しんでいます。このゲームでは3つのアイテム(かぼちゃに見立てたカラーボール、万能薬に見立てたボーリングのピン、カエルに見立てたアルファベット)を集めて魔法薬を完成させるちうものです。特にRedとBlueクラスの子どもたちは大盛り上がりで、他のグループからアイテムを上手く取ったりと白熱していました。
The Owls made bats for their craft time! They cut each of the bat’s body parts and carefully glued them together. After, they taped the bat on a stick and string and pretended to fly the bats around the room! Owls クラスは工作の時間にコウモリを作りました！コウモリの体のパーツを一つ一つ切り、丁寧に糊付けしました。その後、コウモリを棒とひもにくくりつけ、部屋の中でコウモリを飛ばすふりをしました！
The Pink and Purple Classes are practicing the song “Legendary” by Bon Jovi. Although the song is long and some parts of the song can get long, the children did an amazing job following along and singing in harmony. Pink クラスとPurpleクラスは、Bon Joviの 「Legendary 」を練習しています。この曲は長く、歌の一部が長くなることもありますが、子どもたちはそれについていき、ハーモニーを奏でながら歌うことができました。
