It’s March, and our theme is, “Fun & Games!” After learning about the vocabulary we saw on the YLE poster, the children used the small pictures to create a bingo card. We hope to play with this as well as other board games at the end of month!
3月は「Fun & Games（楽しいゲーム）」をテーマに、YLEポスターで学んだ単語を使って、子どもたちが小さな絵を切り貼りして自分だけのビンゴカードを作りました。月末には、このビンゴやボードゲームで遊ぶ予定です！ワクワクが止まりません♪
As it is the last month, we decided to play some of the gym games the children loved the most. Today, the Cubs decided on What’s The Time, Mr. Wolf? The children giggled with excitement as they lined up, eagerly asking the wolf the question in unison. As they crept closer, the wolf suddenly turned around, and the children burst into laughter as they dashed toward the other side, trying to avoid being caught.
年度最後の月ということで、子どもたちが大好きだったジムゲームの中から特に人気のものをもう一度やることにしました。今日はCubsクラスのリクエストで「What’s the Time, Mr. Wolf?」をしました。子どもたちは列に並びながら、元気いっぱいに「What’s the time, Mr. Wolf?」と声をそろえて質問！オオカミが振り向いた瞬間、みんなが一斉に走り出して大笑い！楽しい時間になりました。
During Communication and Language 2, the children explored a variety of sports and movement vocabulary. After practicing the new words, we split into teams for a game of charades. The children threw themselves into their roles with enthusiasm, assigning tasks to one another and even transforming into inanimate objects—like basketball hoops—to make their performances even more convincing!
Communication and Language 2では、スポーツや体の動きに関する単語を学びました。新しい単語を覚えたあとは、チームに分かれてジェスチャーゲームにチャレンジ！お互いに役割を決めたり、バスケットゴールなどの物になりきったりして、想像力をたっぷり使って表現していました。
Similar to the Cubs, the elementary classes created their own bingo cards, incorporating the sports and movement vocabulary they had just learned. Together, they brainstormed additional words and ideas on the whiteboard before carefully writing them into each box. It was a collaborative and engaging way to reinforce their new vocabulary while having fun!
小学生クラスも、スポーツと動きの単語を使って自分たちのビンゴカードを作りました。ホワイトボードでみんなでアイデアを出し合い、それぞれのカードに単語を書き込んでいきました。遊びながら学べる、協力型の楽しい活動となりました。
The children learned how to play scrabble today and practiced forming words in English using letters.
今日はスクラブルにも挑戦！アルファベットのタイルを使って英単語を作る遊びです。初めての子も多かったですが、ルールを覚えるとすぐに夢中に。ゲームを通して英語のつづりに親しめる、良い学びの時間になりました。
Using various topics, the children made their own Bingo boards that they will use at a later date. The Advanced Green class chose the theme “animals” and brainstormed their ideas together.

The Chicks are forming capital letters using the Wet-Dry-Try app!
Chicksクラスでは「Wet-Dry-Try」というアプリを使って、大文字の練習に取り組んでいます。濡れた線→乾いた線→自分で書く、という順番で書き方を学ぶこのアプリ。指を使って形をなぞるので、楽しく正しいフォームが身につきます。
Every week, the Blue class warms up with a phonics warm up at the beginning of their communication and language lesson. Today’s sound was “zzzzz” and they practiced making the sound and blending other sounds with it, to make words.
Blueクラスでは毎週、レッスンのはじめにフォニックスのウォームアップをしています。今週の音は「zzzzz」。この音を出す練習をしたあとに、他の音と組み合わせて単語を作る活動をしました。みんな真剣に、そして楽しそうに取り組んでいました！
