The Wolves learned some new vocabulary which starred zoo animals! To bring their learning to life, the children built their own zoo using Kapla blocks and animal cards. They eagerly discussed what each enclosure should include, like trees for the monkeys to climb or a pond for the crocodiles to relax in!
Wolvesクラスでは、動物園の動物に関する新しい単語を学びました。その後、Kaplaブロックと動物カードを使って、自分たちの動物園を作る活動に取り組みました。それぞれの動物にぴったりの環境を考え、「サルには木が必要だね」「ワニは水辺がいいかも」など、楽しく会話をしながら協力して作り上げました。
The Cubs had a blast learning about animals and body parts by mixing and matching different animal features! They reached into a mystery box to select body parts and then drew them on the whiteboard. The result was a hilariously silly creature, which the kids named ‘Elephant’.
Cubsクラスでは、動物の名前と体の部位を組み合わせて学ぶユニークな活動をしました。ミステリーボックスの中からパーツを引いて、それをホワイトボードに描いていくと、なんとも不思議な動物の完成。子どもたちは大笑いしながら「これはエレファントって名前にしよう！」と楽しそうに名前を付けていました。
The Jaguars put their knowledge of food groups to the test with a fun game of ‘Kahoot!’ Each child logged into the game on their iPads and raced against their classmates to answer the questions on the screen as quickly as possible, making for an exciting and competitive learning experience!
Jaguarsクラスでは、食べ物のグループに関する知識を復習するために『Kahoot!』を使ったクイズに挑戦しました。iPadでログインし、画面に出る問題にできるだけ早く答えるゲーム形式で、どの子も真剣そのもの。クラス中が盛り上がる、活気ある学びの時間となりました。
This week, the Cubs decided they wanted to play the “Weather Game” from May! As the teacher called out different types of weather, the children acted them out with creative movements. For example, when it was rainy, they shielded themselves with cones as if protecting from the rain, and when it was snowy, they had to run away from a giant snowball!
今週のCubsクラスでは、以前行った「Weather Game（お天気ゲーム）」をもう一度やってみようということになりました。先生がさまざまな天気をコールすると、それぞれの天気に合わせて体を使って表現。「雨」と聞けばコーンを使って傘のようにかぶり、「雪」と聞けば大きな雪玉から逃げる動きなど、子どもたちの創造力が光りました。
During C&L2 time, the elementary children had a fun discussion about parties! They were divided into groups of 3-4, with at least one child from each grade in every group. Together, they brainstormed the types of food they’d like to have at their parties. Many made sure to include a variety of food and drink options, thinking ahead to accommodate any dislikes from their classmates.
小学生クラスのC&L2の時間では、「パーティー」をテーマに話し合いを行いました。学年をミックスした3～4人のグループに分かれ、それぞれが開きたいパーティーに必要な食べ物や飲み物を考えました。どのグループも、友だちの好みに配慮しながらバランスよくメニューを考える姿が印象的でした。
At the end of the day, the Cubs played bingo using the game cards they created in week 1! The teachers were pleasantly surprised by how focused the children were, eagerly listening for their cards to be called and staying engaged throughout the game.
Cubsクラスでは、1週目に作ったオリジナルのビンゴカードを使って、ビンゴゲームを楽しみました。先生がカードを読み上げると、どの子も真剣な表情で耳を傾け、該当するマスをチェック。「ビンゴ！」と嬉しそうに声を上げる姿がたくさん見られました。
The children got to use the Bingo boards they created and played a fun game in small groups. They were enjoying it so much, that even when they already got Bingo, they wanted to keep playing!
Chicksクラスでは、大文字の「F」の書き方を学びました。書き方の練習が終わると、関連するワークとしてカエルの塗り絵に取り組みました。集中して丁寧に色を塗り終えたあとは、みんな満足そうな表情をしていました。
The Chicks learned the letter formation for capital “F” and were happy to color their frogs after they finished.
今日は曜日の名前をテキストを使って復習し、それぞれの曜日に何をしているかを英語で言う練習もしました。「I go to swimming on Friday.」など、自分の生活に合わせて発表することで、より実践的に使える表現が身につきました。
