Advanced Green had so much fun putting the finishing touches on their projects! By this point, many had become little sewing experts, even switching up thread colors as they stitched along. When they reached the end, they excitedly begged for buttons and sequins—determined to make their projects even more beautiful and full of sparkle!
Advanced Greenさんたちは、作品の仕上げをするのがとっても楽しかったようです。
この頃にはすっかり小さなお裁縫名人になっていて、ぬいながら糸の色を変えるお友だちもいました。最後の仕上げでは、「ボタンつけたい！」「スパンコールも！」と目を輝かせながらリクエストしてくれて、もっときれいに、もっとキラキラさせたいという気持ちが伝わってきました。
The preschoolers had a blast finishing their face crafts, painting each facial part in a different, bright color. They were told to keep the paints from mixing—no muddy colors here! So, with little tongues poking out in concentration and brushes held tight, they carefully painted each piece, giggling as their colorful creations came to life.
幼稚園クラスの子ども達は、顔のパーツを一つひとつ、あざやかな色でぬり分けながらクラフトを完成させました。「色が混ざらないようにね」と先生に言われて、みんなとっても真剣。舌をちょこんと出して集中しながら、筆をしっかり持って、ていねいにぬっていました。ぬり終わった顔がだんだんとカラフルになっていく様子に、笑い声もたくさん聞こえてきました。作品を見せたい気持ちがいっぱい☆
Although it was a first for many of them, the children were so proud of their work that their teacher came to find me, beaming. “The children wanted to show you what they made!” he said with a smile as they entered the room one by one, excitement in their eyes. After carefully sewing their names onto their projects, they had decided to decorate the cardboard with colorful stamps and sparkling sequins.
初めて裁縫をする子も多かったのですが、みんな自分の作品にとっても誇りをもっていて、先生が「子どもたちが作品を見せたがってるんです」とにこにこしながら伝えに来てくれました。そして、子どもたちが一人ずつ目を輝かせながらお部屋に入ってきてくれました。
自分で名前をぬいつけたあとは、台紙にカラフルなスタンプやスパンコールで飾りつけをして、素敵な作品ができあがりました。
The preschoolers had a blast playing a game of “Color Demon,” a popular game in Japan! When the teacher called out a color, the children scattered in all directions, racing to find something that matched. In the original version, the “demon” would chase and tag players—but not this time! The kids were having so much fun hunting for colors that they decided to skip the tagging part altogether and just enjoy the search!
幼稚園クラスの子ども達は「カラー鬼」という日本で人気のあそびを楽しみました。
先生が「青！」「ピンク！」などの色を言うと、みんな一斉に走り出して、その色のものを探しに行きます。本来は“鬼”が追いかけてタッチするルールですが、今回は色探しがあまりに楽しくて、タッチするのはなしに。みんな夢中になって、色を見つけるたびにうれしそうに教えてくれました。
Pink and Purple classes proudly finished their projects from last week! They had carefully sewn each word, paying close attention to the shape of every letter as they stitched. Once the words were in place, it was time to decorate—and they went all out! With sparkling sequins, colorful popsicle sticks, and fluffy pom poms, their projects truly popped with personality and flair!
PinkクラスとPurpleクラスの子ども達は、先週から取り組んでいた作品を完成させました。一文字ずつ、形に気をつけながらていねいにぬっていきました。言葉がぬい終わったら、いよいよ飾りつけ。スパンコールやカラフルなアイススティック、ふわふわのポンポンを使って、思い思いにデコレーション。それぞれの個性が光る、素敵な作品になりました。
