Today was the last day of water play! To celebrate, the children enjoyed two exciting games: “Water Balloon Dodgeball” and “Water Wars.” In Water Wars, the classes armed themselves with spray bottles, bowls, and buckets, doing their best to splash and soak their friends as much as possible. It was a joyful and refreshing way to close out the season, and everyone had a blast! 今日は最後の水遊びの日でした！お祝いとして、子どもたちは2つのエキサイティングなゲーム「Water Balloon Dodgeball」と「Water Wars」を楽しみました。「Water Wars」では、クラスごとにスプレーボトルやボウル、バケツを手に取り、できるだけ友達に水をかけてびしょ濡れにしようと頑張っていました！とても楽しくてさわやかな締めくくりとなり、みんな大満足の一日でした。
The Advanced Orange Class began Circle Time with a lesson about daily routines! The teacher asked the children what time they usually wake up and go to sleep. A few of them were very honest and admitted that they sometimes stay up quite late at night! Advanced Orangeクラスは、Circle Timeで「一日の生活リズム」についてのレッスンから始まりました。先生が「何時に起きる？」「何時に寝る？」と質問すると、何人かの子どもたちは正直に「夜遅くまで起きてることがあるよ」と教えてくれました！
Gym time turned into a buzzing emergency room for the Advanced Green Class as they played “Waspital”! The child “doctors” dashed to the rescue whenever a patient ran out of band-aids. Gymの時間、Advanced Greenクラスは「Waspital」のゲームをして、まるでにぎやかな救急病院のようになりました！ばんそうこうが足りなくなった「患者」を見つけると、「お医者さん」役の子どもたちが急いで駆けつけていました。
The advanced first grade children came together to learn about heatstroke! They split off into groups, and acted out a scene where someone had heatstroke. 小学校1年生のAdvancedクラスの子どもたちは、熱中症について学びました！グループに分かれて、誰かが熱中症になった場面を演じるロールプレイをしました。
The Red and Blue Classes got a special visitor for their heatstroke lesson — “G” the giraffe! After the teacher introduced items to help G beat the heat, the children jumped right in to show how each one should be used. RedクラスとBlueクラスには、熱中症のレッスンに特別ゲスト「G」キリンがやってきました！先生がGのために用意した暑さ対策グッズを紹介すると、子どもたちはすぐに前に出て、それぞれの使い方を実演してくれました。
To get ready for their doctor roleplays next time, the children made their own stethoscopes! After decorating their crafts, they had fun listening to their friends’ and teachers’ heartbeats.
次回の「お医者さんごっこ」に向けて、子どもたちは自分だけの聴診器を作りました！クラフトをデコレーションしたあとは、友達や先生の心音を聞いて楽しんでいました。
Role playing is always fun in the Cubs Class, and this week we became nurses. The children gave first aid to dolls that were in need of a little care! Cubsクラスでは、今週も楽しいロールプレイを行い、子どもたちは看護師さんになりました！ケガをしたお人形に応急処置をして、お世話をしてあげていました。
Our graduates have been working on posters to promote health and safety. They were each given a topic and had to advise others of what to do when these accidents happen! Adv. Orangeの子どもたちは、健康と安全をテーマにしたポスター作りに取り組んでいます。それぞれが事故やけがのテーマを与えられ、起きたときにどう対応すればいいかを他の人に伝える内容になっています。
As we continue to learn about health, the Pink class looked through our First Aid kit and discussed what each item was for. This will help them create items to put in the ones that they made! 健康についての学びを続ける中で、Pinkクラスでは救急箱の中身を見ながら、それぞれの道具がどんな時に使うものかを話し合いました。この学びを活かして、自分たちで作った応急処置キットに必要なアイテムを準備していきます。
