Thanks to Summer School, the children received brand-new scooter boards! With these, we were able to play exciting games where “injured” players were wheeled off to the hospital by the ambulance—our scooter boards! 子どもたちは新しいスクーターボードに大興奮！これを使って、「けがをした」子を病院まで運ぶ救急車ごっこなど、ワクワクするゲームを楽しみました。スクーターボードが大活躍でした！
In the classroom, the Advanced Orange class discussed what items might be found in a first aid kit. After making their own list, they compared their ideas with the real kit kept in the hallway. The children were excited to see which of their guesses were correct, and surprised by the items they hadn’t thought of! Advanced Orangeクラスでは、救急箱の中にどんなものが入っているかを話し合いました。自分たちでリストを作ったあと、廊下にある本物のキットと比べてみました。自分の予想が当たっていると大喜びし、思いもよらないアイテムにはびっくりしていました！
After exploring a real first aid kit and brainstorming what items might be found inside, the children created their own miniature first aid kits! They were especially proud of their mask crafts, which they insisted on wearing home—even though the masks were far too small for them. 実際の救急箱を観察し、中にありそうなアイテムを考えたあと、子どもたちは自分だけのミニファーストエイドキットを作りました！特にマスクのクラフトには誇りを持っていて、「これをつけて帰りたい！」という子も多く、サイズが明らかに小さくても嬉しそうに着けていました。
This month, the children sang “Beach Ball Boogie” from the Holiday Jazz Chants collection. It quickly became their favorite song, and they sang it with such big voices! Even after Music Class ended, the children could still be heard happily singing it in the hallways.
今月、子どもたちは「Holiday Jazz Chants」シリーズから「Beach Ball Boogie」を歌いました。すぐにお気に入りの曲になり、大きな声で楽しそうに歌っていました！音楽の授業が終わったあとも、廊下から元気な歌声が聞こえてくるほどでした。
When they finished exploring the items in our First Aid Kits, they were able to make similar items for their own kits too. 救急箱の中身を探検し終えたあと、子どもたちは自分のキットに入れるための似たアイテムを作りました。
During Writing Time, the children rotated through stations to work in their writing books. While waiting for their turn, they practiced lowercase letters on the Handwriting Without Tears app to brush up their skills! Writing Timeでは、子どもたちがローテーションでワークブックに取り組みました。順番を待っている間は、「Handwriting Without Tears」アプリを使って、小文字の練習をしてスキルを磨きました！
The Pink class explored the contents of our school First Aid Kits and learned how each item can help us stay healthy and safe. Pinkクラスでは、学校にある救急箱の中身を探検し、それぞれのアイテムが健康や安全にどう役立つのかを学びました。
Chicks, Sparrows, and Owls to the rescue! During our project roleplay, the children put on their nurse hats, grabbed their stethoscopes, and rushed to help a “sick” patient in the room. Their favorite part was sticking on the band-aids… perhaps a little too much! Chicks、Sparrows、Owlsクラスが「救助隊」に変身！プロジェクトのロールプレイでは、ナース帽子と聴診器をつけて、教室の「病人」を助けに駆けつけました。中でも一番人気だったのは、ばんそうこうを貼る場面… 少し貼りすぎなくらい楽しんでいました！
