Over these past few months, we have been getting better at a memory game the purple class and I like to call “card master”. As the children are introduced to a new theme or topics each month, we review and practice the use of an array of new vocabulary cards too! The children have really been enjoying taking on the role of “card master”, where they can take turns in selecting a number of cards to challenge their team member’s memories to!
千里山田校アフタースクール・Purpleクラスでは、過去数ヶ月にわたって「Card Master（カードマスター）」と記憶ゲームに取り組んでおり、どんどん上達してきました。
毎月レッスンの新しいテーマやトピックを紹介する中で、生徒達は様々な新しい単語カードの使用法も復習し、練習に励んでいます。
生徒達はみんな「カードマスター」の役になることをとても楽しんでおり、順番にカードを選んでは、チームメイトの記憶力を試す挑戦を仕掛けています！
Throughout the year thus far we have been looking at topics such as caring for the environment and climate zones. In one of our recent chapters we discussed how the Earth’s axis dictates each country’s climate zones and seasons, and so we decided to make a poster project about the different seasons in Japan, and using grammar such as “might”/”may” to suggest things we could do, see, eat, hear, etc during each season!
Purpleクラスの生徒達は、年間を通して、環境保護や気候帯といったトピックについて学んでいます。
最近のレッスンでは、地球の地軸が世界の国々の気候帯や季節にどのような影響を与えるかについて話し合いました。
また、「日本の四季」をテーマにしたポスターを制作するプロジェクトに取り組みました。それぞれの季節に合わせて、「見ることができる」「食べることができる」「聞くことができる」といった文章を考え、「might」や「may」などの可能性を示す助動詞を使って表現しています。
In October, we celebrate Moon Viewing in Japan. In celebration of this event, we decided to have a discussion on what the event is and make a surprise craft by making our own rabbit on the moon! The children started by gluing yellow tissue paper on stockcard to create a textured moon. They then followed step by steps instructions for making their origami rabbits! The children all did so well and were very creative when drawing their rabbit faces!
日本では10月に中秋の名月をお祝いし、お月見を行います。
ある日のレッスンでは、この伝統行事をテーマに話し合った後、月に住むウサギのクラフトを作ることになりました！まず初めに、黄色のカラーティッシュペーパー（おはながみ）を台紙に貼り付けて、立体感のある月を作りました。その後、折り紙を使って、ウサギを折っていきます。生徒達は、折り方の一つひとつの工程をしっかり聞いて、集中しながら丁寧に折っていました。また、仕上げにウサギの顔を描く時には、それぞれのクリエイティビティが見事に発揮され、ユニークな個性あふれる世界で一つの作品が出来上がりました。
