The past few weeks have been a lot of fun in the classroom! We’ve spent time reviewing the days of the week, and have discussed the difference between weekdays and weekends. We also learned more about adverbs of frequency (always, often, sometimes, never), and how we can use them to describe our daily activities. This led us to our monthly project. Each child made their own weekly schedule!
First, we set up our schedule by writing the days of week in columns. Next, we thought about specific things that we do on each day of the week. We drew pictures that corresponded to the correct day.
Next, we colored our pictures and cut out our schedules. We reviewed how to use our adverbs of frequency, and practiced the correct sentence structure for describing our activities.
Finally, we had a presentation day! We shared our weekly schedule with our classmates, describing specific things that we do on the different days of the week. We also took turns asking each other about our schedules, getting more information from each other.
