Here the Red class is working on some writing and spelling. During the holiday time, we wanted to think about what we like about Christmas and the holidays and write about things we would like for Christmas. In this particular writing exercise we wrote about what we would do if we were one of Santa`s elves.
千里山田校アフタースクール・Redクラスの、12月のレッスンの様子をご紹介いたします。
こちらの写真は、Writingとスペリングの練習風景です。間もなくやって来る冬休みを前に、生徒達はクリスマスや休暇の好きな点について考え、その後クリスマスに欲しいものを書く、という課題に取り組みました。
また、「もし自分がサンタクロースのお手伝いをする小さな妖精（エルフ）だったら？」をテーマに、想像を膨らませながら作文を行いました。
The Red class often enjoys the music that goes with our “Power Up 3” book, and enjoys singing and listening to the tunes. We also match the music with reading and look for certain words that are sung or talked about, which is often our vocabulary focus for the day.
Redクラスで今年度学んでいるコースブックは「Power Up 3」で、レッスンではテキストに付属している音楽を聞いて、一緒に歌ったりしながら楽しんでいます。
また、音楽とReadingを連動させて、その中に登場する特定の単語を取り上げ、その日のレッスンで集中的に学ぶボキャブラリー（語彙）として紹介しています。
Here the Red Class are playing a game with the question word cards. We enjoy warming up with cards that have Who, What, Where, When, and Why questions. Getting a good understanding of how and when to use certain question words helps us know how to get more information about the things we are learning about.
こちらはRedクラスの生徒達が、疑問詞カードを使ったゲームにチャレンジしている様子です。
「Who（誰が）」「What（何を）」「Where（どこで）」「When（いつ）」「Why（なぜ）」といった疑問詞が書かれたカードを使って、楽しくウォームアップを行っています。
特定の疑問詞をいつ、どのように使うかをしっかり理解することで、学んでいる内容についてより多くの情報を得ることができるようになります。
