6月のサタデースクールが始まりました。今月からスタートの方も多かったですが、帰るころには馴染んだようです！
Advanced Orange
Today, Advanced Orange played a thrilling game of Bank Heist! The children divided themselves into teams of “cops” and “robbers.” The robbers hopped onto scooters and were pushed by their teammates across the gym to the bank, where piles of cash were waiting to be collected. Meanwhile, the cops did their best to stop the getaway by throwing soft balls at the thieves.
Advanced Orangeクラスでは、スリリングなBank Heist（銀行強盗）ゲームを楽しみました！警察チームと強盗チームに分かれ、強盗チームがスクーターに乗って、お金が積まれたジム（＝銀行）の中を走ります。また、警察チームは強盗たちにやわらかいボールを当てて逃亡を防ぎました！
Preschool
During reading time, the Preschool Classes practiced recognizing letters and sounds with a fun word-guessing game! The children took turns choosing letters from the alphabet, trying to uncover the mystery word before time ran out. Every incorrect guess caused a line on the skydiver’s parachute to disappear! This has quickly become one of their favorite games, and more often than not, they manage to guess the word just in time to save the skydiver from falling into the dinosaur’s mouth!
Preschoolクラスのリーディングの時間には、単語当てゲームをしながらアルファベットとサウンドの認識を練習しました！順番にアルファベットを1つ選び、時間内に謎の単語が何か考えました。間違ったアルファベットを選ぶとホワイトボードに描いたスカイダイバーのパラシュートの紐が1本ずつ消えてしまいます！楽しみながらアルファベットの認識の練習ができ、子ども達も気に入ってくれたようです。今回は、スカイダイバーが恐竜の口に落ちるのをギリギリ防ぐことができました！
Blue Class
The Blue Class learned about graphing today! When the teacher asked, “Does anyone know what a graph is?” the children replied, “No! What’s that?” To help them understand, the class voted on their favorite flavors of ice cream and used the results to create a bar graph together. The children were excited to see the results and compare their answers. Can you guess which flavor was the class favorite?
Blueクラスでは、グラフの作り方を学びました！先生が「グラフが何かわかる人ー？」と尋ねると、子ども達は知らない様子でした。そこで、よく理解できるように『好きなアイスクリームのフレーバー投票』を行い、結果を棒グラフにしました。みんな、結果を楽しみにしていて、答えを見比べていました。さて、どのフレーバーが一番人気だったでしょうか？！
Purple Class
June’s theme is all about Towns! Today, the children explored a YLE poster featuring a busy town and discussed what they could see. They then played a guessing game where they had to decide what the most expensive thing in town might be. Some guessed a diamond ring, while others suggested the town fountain. After lots of discussion, the class decided that the most expensive “item” was probably an entire shopping center!
6月のテーマは『町』でした。ケンブリッジ国際児童英検監修のにぎやかな町のポスターを使って、町の中で目にするものについて考えました。そして、ポスターに載っているものの中で、どれが一番高価なものなのかを考えると、「ダイアモンドの指輪」と答える子もいたり、「噴水」と答える子もいました。たくさんのディスカッションを重ねたあと、一番高価なものは「ショッピングセンター」ということで決着しました！
Pink and Purple Classes
This month’s big project is creating their very own aquarium! To gather ideas, the children explored books from the library and took a virtual look at animals living in a real aquarium. They took notes of sea creatures and began thinking about which animals they would like to include in their own underwater worlds.
今月の大きなプロジェクトは、『水族館づくり』です！まず、アイデアを収集するためにライブラリーの本を見たり、実際に水族館に暮らす生き物をバーチャル観察しました。海の生き物についてメモをとったり、自分の水族館にどの生き物を飼育したいか考え始めました！
Advanced Navy
Advanced Navy visited the projector room to explore the Kaiyukan website together. The children examined different aquarium tanks and made predictions about which animals might live in each one. They enjoyed sharing their guesses and discussing which sea creatures were their favorites.
Advanced Navyクラスは、プロジェクターを使って海遊館のウェブサイトを一緒に観覧しました。様々な水槽を見たり、どんな生き物がどんな水槽に暮らしているのか予想し、それぞれの考えを共有しました。また、自分の好きな生き物についても話し合いました！
Preschool
The Preschool classes also continued learning about towns today—specifically, the people who help our communities! Using puppets, the children took turns pretending to be different community helpers and talking about the jobs they do. It was wonderful to see their imaginations at work as they stepped into these important roles!
