Pink and Purple:
Today was the final day of our aquarium projects! The classes quickly got their rooms ready, dividing up tasks among themselves and even calling teachers over to help.
今日は水族館プロジェクトの最終日です！各クラスでは、役割分担をしながら次々と準備を始め、中には先生に手伝いを要請しているクラスもありました。
Advanced Yellow:
Some classes chose to use wooden blocks or LEGO bricks to build individual enclosures for their sea animals. However, because some of their sea creatures were so large, they sometimes struggled to finish before the other classes arrived for their visits!
木のブロックやLEGOを使って、海の生き物を囲いを作っているクラスもありました。ただ、海の生き物が大きすぎて囲いをするのに時間がかかり、作業中に来場者が訪れる時間になってしまいました！
Advanced Navy:
Other classes used classroom furniture to create their enclosures. Advanced Navy had a unique idea—they created a stingray petting area, inviting visitors to get up close to their crafts!
別のクラスでは、椅子などを使って囲いを作っていました。Advanced Navyクラスでは、エイのふれあいコーナーを作って、来場者がもっと近くで作品を楽しめるように工夫していました。
Advanced Orange:
Advanced Orange was one of the last classes to set up their aquarium and was lucky enough to receive decorations from the other classes, giving them even more ways to bring their aquarium to life! They giggled as they hid fishy surprises inside the cubbies, covering them with plastic sheets for visitors to discover.
Advanced Orangeクラスは一番最後に水族館の設立を終えましたが、他のクラスのデコレーションをもらい、さらに水族館が活気にあふれました！棚の中やカバーの下に魚を隠したり、来場者が楽しめるように準備していました。
Advanced Orange, Red, and Blue:
When it was time for the roleplay, the other classes were invited in to explore each aquarium. Despite having studied English for more years, the Advanced Orange class became a little shy as the Red and Blue classes eagerly pointed at the displays and asked questions about their projects!
ロールプレイがはじまると、他のクラスが各水族館を訪れました。Advanced Orangeクラスは何年も英語学習をしていますが、Redクラス・Blueクラスがたくさん質問をすると、少し恥ずかしがっている様子でした。
Red, Blue, and Preschool:
Preschool also got to join in on the fun! Before entering, they made aquarium bingo cards to predict what they might see. Whenever they spotted something on their card, they earned a sticker! As they explored each aquarium, they also learned about the different sea animals living in each habitat.
プリスクールクラスも水族館を周りました。来場前に『水族館ビンゴ』を作り、カードに載っているものを見つけるとステッカーをもらうことができます！水族館を見て回ることで、どんな生き物がどんな場所に住んでいるのか、学ぶことができました。
Red and Blue:
The children had an absolute blast dreaming up their aquarium projects, working on them week by week, and finally getting the chance to present them to their peers. We are so proud of all their creativity and hard work, and we’re already looking forward to our next big project in August!
どの子も今回の水族館プロジェクトに、毎週取り組み、最終的には他のクラスを招待して一緒に楽しみました。子ども達の創造性や努力が実ったプロジェクトとなりました。8月のプロジェクトも楽しみです！
