Advanced Green
Today, Advanced Green reviewed how to ask questions beginning with “Were you…?” To put their skills into practice, the children came up with their own questions before going door to door to interview teachers and children from other classes about what they were doing yesterday! They were a little shy about approaching the other classes at first, but their confidence quickly grew. By the end of the activity, they were even able to ask follow-up questions whenever they received a “Yes!” Great job, everyone!
今日は「Were you…?」から始まる質問方法を復習しました！練習した後は、自分たちで質問を考えて、いざインタビューへ！✨ 他のクラスを訪ね、先生やお友だちに『昨日何をしていたの？』と質問して回りました。最初は少し恥ずかしそうにしていた子ども達も、少しずつ自信がついてきたようです！ 最後には「Yes!」という答えを聞くと、さらに質問を続けることもできるようになりました！みんなよく頑張りました！
Blue
To give everyone a little more individual support, Blue Class split into smaller groups during course book time. While one group brushed up on their phonics skills using the “Teach Your Monster to Read” app, the other worked closely with the teacher on their course book. Working in smaller groups gave everyone a chance to focus and get some extra help where they needed it!

Advanced Navy
October means it’s time for Halloween! Advanced Navy started the month by looking at a Halloween poster and describing where each spooky character was hiding. They also practiced how to “build a sentence,” starting with a simple sentence and gradually making it longer and more detailed by adding adjectives, connectors, and other information. It was a great way to challenge the children to see just how much they could add to one sentence!
10月といえばハロウィン🎃 今月はハロウィンをテーマに楽しく英語を学んでいきます！今回はお化け屋敷のポスターを見ながら、モンスターたちが「どこにいるのか」を英語で表現しました。さらに「Build a Sentence」にも挑戦！まずはシンプルな短い文章からスタートし、「どんなモンスター？」「どこにいる？」「何をしている？」などの情報を少しずつ付け加えて、より長く詳しい文章を作っていきます。形容詞や接続詞なども使いながら、「もっと何か付け足せるかな？」とみんなで考え、文章をどんどん膨らませていきました✨
Pink and Purple
This month, Pink and Purple are working on a short Halloween story project! Today, they reviewed “Who, What, and Where” and used these three elements to start building their own stories. To help get their ideas flowing, the children rolled story dice featuring different Halloween characters, actions, and places. The unexpected combinations sparked lots of fun and creative ideas!
今月のPinkクラスとPurpleクラスは、ハロウィンのショートストーリー作りに挑戦します！ 今日は「Who（だれ）・What（なに）・Where（どこ）」を復習し、この3つを使ってストーリーを考えました。アイデアに困った時は、ハロウィンのキャラクターやアクション、場所が描かれたサイコロを振って、お助けアイテムをゲットしました🎲 どんな組み合わせが出るかワクワクしながら、楽しいストーリーのアイデアをたくさん考えることができました！
Advanced Green and Advanced Navy
To celebrate the Halloween season, Advanced Green and Advanced Navy played “Ghostbusters” during gym! The children were assigned spooky roles such as “Ghouls” and “Ghosts” and had to make it safely to the opposite side of the playing area. Waiting in the middle were the Ghostbusters, armed with pool noodles and ready to catch the Halloween monsters! Everyone had lots of fun running, dodging, and trying their best to escape!
ジムでは、ハロウィンにちなんで「Ghostbusters」のゲームを楽しみました👻 子どもたちは「Ghoul （悪霊）」や「Ghost （お化け）」などのハロウィンモンスターに変身し、反対側まで逃げ切ることにチャレンジ！しかし、真ん中にはプールスティックを持ったGhostbustersが待ち構えています…😆！ 捕まらないように走ったり、上手にかわしたりしながら、元気いっぱい体を動かしました！
Owls
Meanwhile, our preschool classes are getting ready to travel around the world! Throughout October and November, the children will pretend to visit different countries and learn a little about each destination along the way. Today, the Owls explored a big world map and tried to find some of the countries they will be visiting. Much to the teacher’s surprise, some of the children already recognized several locations and could even point out countries they had visited before!
Preschoolクラスでは、10月・11月の2か月間、世界のいろいろな国へ旅行した気分を味わいながら楽しく学んでいきます！🌏✈️ 今日はOwlsのみんなで大きな世界地図を広げ、これから“訪れる”予定の国を探してみました。「どこにあるかな？」とみんなで探していると、先生もびっくり！すでに知っている国を見つけたり、「ここ行ったことある！」と旅行したことのある場所を教えてくれたりする子もいました😊 これからどんな国を訪れるのか楽しみです！
