The Red class has been using their Power Up 3 book and relating it to their own lives. For example we have been learning about some food in Unit 2, which we have related to the storybook we have been reading; Fantastic Mr. Fox
アフタースクール・Redクラスのレッスンでは「Power Up 3」のテキストを使い、自分達の日常生活に根ざした英語表現を学んでいます。例えば、テキストのユニット2では「食べ物」について学び、『Fantastic Mr. Fox』の物語の内容と関連付けてレッスンを進めました。
We have been reading the book Fantastic Mr. Fox together and been relating it to ourselves and the Power Up 3 book. We did a writing exercise where we decided what kind of farm we would have if we were in the book, and we came up with some interesting choices!
現在、生徒達は『Fantastic Mr. Fox』の物語を読みながら、自分自身についてやコースブックの内容と結びつけて学んでいます。
ある日のレッスンでは、ライティングの活動中に「もし自分が『Fantastic Mr. Fox』の物語の世界に入るなら、どんな農場を持ちたいか？」というテーマで文章を書きました。生徒達からはとてもユニークで面白いアイデアがたくさん飛び出しました！
We have also been using the book to practice the skills essential to the YLE exam, which we will be practicing for and have the option of taking later this year. This is a listening practice activity, where the teacher describes what needs to be colored, and which color. The information is often hidden in several sentences, and can be challenging, but everyone did a great job!
また、レッスンでは、毎年秋に開催されるケンブリッジ国際児童英検（YLEテスト）の受験に必要なスキルの練習も行っています。
この日のレッスンではリスニングの練習として、担任が「何を」「どの色で」塗るかを口頭で説明し、生徒達はそれを聞いて色塗りをしました。必要な情報は複数の文章の中に隠されていることが多く、少し難しい内容でしたが、みんな集中しながらとてもよく頑張っていました！
