The elementary classes learned about some elusive Christmas creatures—elves! To begin, the children read the story How to Catch an Elf and looked at all the clever traps children used to try to catch Santa’s little helper.
小学校低学年のクラスでは、クリスマスに現れる不思議な生き物——エルフについて学びました。まず、子ども達は『エルフを捕まえる方法』という物語を読み、今まで他の子ども達がサンタの小さな助手を捕まえようと、どのような罠を仕掛けたのかを知りました。
Afterward, the students were challenged to design their own elf traps. They were told they could only use items already in the classroom, along with a few craft materials. Some children came up with wonderfully wild ideas, and it was fascinating to see how they planned to catch something they couldn’t even get close to!
その後、子ども達は自分たちでエルフの罠を設計する課題に取り組みました。使える物は、教室にある物と、いくつかの工作材料だけです。しかし、子ども達は驚くほど奇抜なアイデアを思いつきました。近づくことすらできないものをどうやって捕まえるのか、子ども達の発送はとても柔軟なものでした。

The Red class and Owls came together for a team-building activity in the gym. Using hoops, they had to work together to move as a group without leaving anyone behind. The children practiced communication and problem-solving while figuring out the most efficient way to move as a team.
RedクラスとOwlsクラスが体育館でチームビルディング活動を行いました。輪を使って、誰も置き去りにせずにグループ全体で動くよう協力し合いました。子ども達はチームとして最も効率的な移動方法を考えながら、コミュニケーションと問題解決の練習をしました。
The Owls class has been working incredibly hard on their writing skills. This was their first time writing full sentences, and they put their knowledge to good use by writing a letter to Santa. Everyone was very proud of their efforts!
Owlsクラスの子ども達は、文章を書く力を驚くほど一生懸命に磨いています。今回初めて完全な文章を書くことに挑戦し、学んだ知識を大いにいかして、サンタさんへの手紙を書きました。みんな、自分の努力をとても誇りに思っていました。
The Chicks and Sparrows class made Christmas trees for their craft activity. A thin line of glue was drawn onto popsicle sticks, and the children carefully followed the guide to place shiny sequins on top. It was a great activity for practicing focus and fine motor skills!
