Takatsuki Cubs
The Cubs have been working hard on their phonics! For this week’s reading activity, they used phonics puzzles. They matched sounds and letters to their picture to build their decoding skills and expand their vocabulary!
Cubsクラスの子どもたちは、フォニックスの学習に一生懸命取り組んでいます。今週のリーディングでは、フォニックスパズルを使いました。音と文字を絵と照らし合わせることで、解読力を高め、語彙を増やしました。
Yamada Chicks and Sparrows
Every Saturday, Chicks and Sparrows kick off Circle Time with their favorite song, “Days of the Week!” By now, all of the children know the lyrics and confidently sing along while doing the actions with their teachers.
ChicksとSparrowクラスはお気に入りの歌「Days of the Week！」でサークルタイムを始めます。今では、子どもたちはみんな歌詞を覚えていて、先生と一緒に大きな声で歌いながら、振り付けも真似します。
Yamada Owls
The Preschool classes looked back on their year with a “This Year Went By in a Flash” craft! They drew their favorite memories, self-portraits, and even pictures of their teachers.
幼稚園生のクラスでは、「あっという間の一年だった！」というテーマで工作しながら、一年を振り返りました。子どもたちは、お気に入りの思い出や自画像、先生の絵などを描きました。
Yamada Pink and Purple
Today, the Pink and Purple classes played a game they first enjoyed in May—“Race for Supplies!” They imagined there had been a massive earthquake, and their mission was to gather supplies while avoiding being hit by balls. It was a great game of teamwork and quick thinking!
PinkとPurpleクラスでは、5月に初めてプレイしたゲーム「Race for Supplies!」を再びプレイしました。大地震が起きたという設定で、ボールに当たらないようにしながら物資を集めるのが彼らのミッションです。チームワークと機転が試される、素晴らしいゲームです。
Yamada Chicks and Sparrows
To review the letters they’ve learned this year, Chicks and Sparrows played a game of alphabet bingo! Whenever the teacher called out a letter, the children placed a red sticky note on their boards if they had a match. The best part was that all the letters were called, so every child had a chance to win!
今年学習した文字を復習するため、ChicksとSparrowクラスでは、アルファベットビンゴゲームをしました。先生が文字を読み上げるたびに、子どもたちは自分のボードに該当する文字があれば赤い付箋を貼りました。一般のビンゴと違うこととして、すべての文字が読み上げられるスタイルで、すべての子どもに勝つチャンスがありました。
Yamada Advanced Yellow
As it was the last day of Saturday School this year, the elementary classes spent time playing party games to celebrate. Advanced Yellow chose to play “Corners,” where children stood next to a number. When the person in the middle called out a number, anyone standing by that number was “out”!
今年度のサタデースクール最終日ということもあり、小学生の生徒たちはパーティーゲームをしてお祝いしました。Advanced Yellowクラスでは「コーナー」というゲームを選びました。これは、子どもたちが数字の横に立つゲームで、真ん中にいる人が数字を叫ぶと、その数字の横に立っている人は「アウト」になります。
Takatsuki Advanced Orange
The Advanced Orange Class has been learning about materials in their textbooks, and are exploring what everyday items are made of. This week, they designed costumes for their favourite characters, using our unit vocabulary.
Advanced Orangeクラスでは、テキストブックで「素材」について学習しており、身近なものが何でできているのかを探求しています。今週は、学習した語彙を使って、お気に入りのキャラクターの衣装をデザインしました。
