9月のサタデースクールが始まりました。
まだまだ暑い日や天気が不安定な日がありますが、みんな元気いっぱいです！
Advanced Yellow
Advanced Yellow has started reading Charlie and the Chocolate Factory! Each week, the teacher reads a chapter aloud while the children listen carefully and use their imaginations to picture what is happening in the story. After a few pages, the teacher reveals an illustration from the book, giving the children a chance to compare it with what they had imagined.
Advanced Yellowクラスでは、『チャーリーとチョコレート工場』を読んでいます！毎週、先生がチャプターを１つずつ読んでいます。子どもたちは、ストーリー展開を思い描きながら、集中して耳を傾けています。ストーリーが少し進むと、その内容のイラストを見せ、子ども達が頭の中で描いたものと比較できるようにしています。
Blue Class
This month, our theme is all about animals! For gym class, Blue Class and Advanced Orange played “Predators and Prey.” The children were assigned different roles, such as rabbits, eagles, and wolves, and had to chase or escape from one another depending on their place in the food chain. With the rabbits at the bottom of the food chain, everyone had to pay close attention to who was chasing whom!
今月の学習テーマは『動物』です！ジムの時間に、BlueクラスとAdvanced Orangeクラスは『Predators and Prey（動物の追いかけっこ）』を行いました。子ども達は、ウサギ・ワシ・オオカミなどの動物に分かれ、食物連鎖の中での立場に応じて、お互いを追いかけたり、逃げたりしました。食物連鎖の一番下にいるウサギたちは、誰が誰を追いかけているのか、しっかり周りを見ながら逃げる必要がありました！
Chicks and Sparrows
While one teacher prepared for their gym activity, Chicks and Sparrows warmed up with some stretching and yoga! The children did a great job listening to instructions and trying out the different poses. They even challenged themselves to hold their legs up in the air and keep them nice and still!
先生がジム活動の用意をしている間、ChicksとSparrowsクラスは、ストレッチやヨガをしてウォームアップをしました！指示をよく聞いて、様々なポーズに挑戦していました。足を持って伸ばしたままキープも上手にできました！
Advanced Green
For this month’s life-sized board game project, Advanced Green worked on creating their own game cards! When players land on certain spaces in the finished game, they will have to pick up a card and follow its instructions, such as moving forwards or backwards. The children began preparing and coming up with ideas for their cards, and next week, we plan to continue working on them as their board game starts to come together!
今月の「等身大ボードゲーム」プロジェクトでは、Advanced Greenの子どもたちが、自分たちで使うカードゲーム作りに取り組みました！完成したゲームでは、プレイヤーが特定のマスに止まるとカードを1枚引き、そこに書かれた指示に従います。例えば、「○マス進む」「○マス戻る」といった指示があります。子ども達はカードの準備を始め、それぞれのカードにどんな内容を入れるか、アイデアを出しながら考えました。来週も引き続きカード作りに取り組みながら、少しずつ自分たちのボードゲームを完成させていく予定です！
Owls
Owls got creative this week by making their own animal puppets! The children decorated their animals and gave their puppets some very big teeth. These toothy animals will be perfect for our upcoming dentist role-play later this month, when the children will learn even more about taking care of their teeth!
Owlsクラスでは、動物のパペット作りを始めました！動物をデコレーションし、口には大きな歯を付けました。大きな歯がついた動物たちは、月末に行う歯医者さんごっこに活躍する予定で、その活動を通して歯のケア方法を学びます
