In Unit 2, we talked about our routines. The children had very unique morning routines each, such as what times they would wake up. During one lesson, we decided to record our routines by drawing and writing about what we do and present them in front of the class. Surprisingly, many children volunteered to go up to the front and share their ideas. The other children quietly listened to what they had to say before raising their hands too.
テキストのUnit 2では、日々のルーティンについて話をしました。子どもたちには、起きる時間の違いなど、各々異なる朝のルーティンがあることが分かりました。ある日のレッスンでは、1日のルーティンを絵や文章で記録し、クラスの前で発表する機会を設けました。驚くことに、多くの子が「前に立って発表したい！」と申し出てくれました。発表中は、静かに発表者の話を聞き、質問がある際は手を挙げてから質問をしました。
In each lesson, we try to create opportunities for collaboration and discussion. During this lesson, the children were asked to write sentences based on the pictures they saw on the board. Many children in Blue Class enjoy writing a lot. Although they only needed to write one sentence in their journals, the children asked the teacher if they could write two, three, or many more sentences about the pictures.
毎回、レッスンの際はコラボレーションやディスカッションをする機会を設けています。ある日は、ホワイトボードに貼った絵を見て文章を書きました。Blueクラスの子どもたちは、ライティングが大好きです。ジャーナルに1文だけ書くように指示しましたが、みんな2～3文、またはそれ以上書いてもいいかと尋ねてきました。
At the end of every unit, there is a board game in the activity book. The board game goes through all of the grammar points we have been discussing throughout the unit. The children get very heated, and we can hear the children loudest and most excited to speak English when playing games. We’re looking forward to play our next game soon!
Unitを終了する際、アクティビティーブックに載っているボードゲームを行っています。。このボードゲームでは、Unitで学んだグラマーの要点を復習することができます。みんな、とても熱心にゲームに励んでいて、クラスのどのレッスンの時間よりも1番大きな声で英語を話す姿が見られます。次のゲームも楽しみです！
