We have just completed our second month of studies in Green Class.
千里山田校アフタースクール・Greenクラスのレッスンの様子をご紹介いたします。
4月から新年度がスタートし、新しいGreenクラスの生徒達と一緒に学び始めて、最初の2ヶ月を終えました。
In our study of grammar for the past using for and since we looked at Time Capsules and how they can be a great way to tell people in the future about times in the past and present.
The children thought about what they’d put in their own time capsule and drew a picture depicting their ideas.
ある日のレッスンで、過去を表す文法（for と since の使い方）を学習した時には、「タイムカプセル」について取り上げ、過去や現在の出来事を未来の人々に伝える素晴らしい方法であると話し合いました。
そして、生徒達は自分ならタイムカプセルに何を入れたいかをそれぞれ考え、そのアイデアを絵に描いて表現しました。
On a more fun note the children watched a special video titled “The Science of Meow”. It was all about cats and how scientists are studying about what cats might be trying to say when they make sounds. The children in Green Class were excited to create their own “Cat Comic” stories. Expressing their creativity and sense of humor.
また、別の日に行った楽しい活動では、『The Science of Meow』というタイトルの動画をみんなで視聴しました。この動画では、猫が鳴き声で何を伝えようとしているのかを、科学者達がどのように研究しているかが紹介されていました。
その後、Greenクラスの生徒達は、オリジナルの「Cat Comic（猫の漫画）」の制作に取り組みました。コマ割りをして挿し絵を描き、色鉛筆で塗り、英語で台詞を考えて添えるなど、豊かな創造力とユーモアを発揮しながら、楽しい作品が出来上がりました。
Our most recent study involved making a plan for a world wide trip. The children researched the places they wanted to go via Google Earth and made a travel itinerary. They mapped out 5 stops on their journey and could explain where they currently were in a challenging roleplay discussion.
最近のレッスンでは、世界一周旅行の計画を立てる活動を行いました。
生徒達は、Google Earthのアプリ を使って自分の行きたい場所を調べ、旅行の行程表を作成しました。
旅の中で5つの目的地を設定し、ロールプレイでは「今、自分はどこにいるのか」を英語で説明するということにもチャレンジし、とても興味深く有意義な時間になりました。
