Hello Everyone!
The last couple of months we have moved to having online lessons over Zoom and the students have all taken the change in stride. We have continued to work hard, progressing through our Power-Up 3 book units 8 and 9. We learned a lot about travel and directions and continued to strengthen our vocabulary and grammar. Going from in person class to entirely online lessons isn’t an easy transition, but the enthusiasm and spirit remained. We have utilized the different parts of the zoom call to our advantage, using the whiteboard as a space for everyone to share ideas and answers. We have also been able to use documents uploaded to the program as a collaborative space for everyone answer and work on English together.
We have worked on spelling, reading, listening and writing through the use of many different games and activities as well. The Orange class particularly enjoys spelling games and the game using similar and opposite words to practice the vocabulary from our book. This year is almost at its end and the class has done a great job despite the difficult situation we find ourselves in. Thank you to the family and friends who have assisted and helped the Orange class throughout this year and helped with any tech problems that have arisen since we went online. この2ヶ月は、対面レッスンではなく、Zoomを介してのオンラインレッスンを行ってきましたが、子ども達は環境の変化にとても柔軟に適応してくれています。
今月はPower Up 3のユニット8と9を通じて、引き続き学習に励みました。旅行や方向についてたくさん学び、ボキャブラリーと文法の強化も行いました。体面レッスンからオンラインレッスンへの移行は、簡単ではありませんでしたが、みんなの熱意や気持ちは続いています。オンラインレッスンでは、みんなのアイデアを共有したり回答に、ホワイトボードを使ったりと、Zoomにある機能を駆使しています。また、共有スペースにドキュメントをシェアすることで、みんなが回答したり、一緒に英語学習に取り組むことができています。
また、オンラインレッスンであっても、様々なゲームやアクティビティーを通して、スペリングやリーディング、リスニング、ライティングを学習しています。Orangeクラスは、特に、スペリングゲームや、テキストに出てくる類義語・対義語を使ってボキャブラリーの練習をするゲームを楽しみました。
今年度も修了を迎え、どのような環境においても子ども達は一生懸命学習してくれました。保護者のみなさま、ご家族のみなさま、今年一年間Orangeクラスをサポートいただき、ありがとうございました。特に、オンラインレッスンに切り替わってからは、技術的なサポートをしていただき、大変たすかりました。この場をお借りして、御礼申し上げます。
