The elementary classes continued working on their fortune-telling projects today. The older students wrote about their fortunes, something that might happen this year, and their lucky items.

Before writing on their final fortune-telling papers, Advanced Orange practiced writing in their journals. Once their sentences were checked for neatness, they were given the okay to write on their final sheets.

The preschool classes continued working on their shrines for next week’s role-play activity. The Owls Class decided to name their shrine “Fukuro Taisha,” inspired by their class name!

Blueクラスは今日、果物と野菜について学びました。活動として、クラスは図書館を訪れ、本をめくって様々な果物や野菜を探しました。見つけたら、先生のもとへ行き、発見したことを共有しました。
Today, the Chicks and Sparrows learned the sound “i”! The teacher first introduced the sound along with a picture associated with it (in this case, “insect”). After practicing together, the class played games to check if they could identify the correct sound.

The elementary classes played some New Year’s board games! When students landed on a “pick up a card” space, they had to answer personal questions about this year or last year. This activity helped them practice using past and future tenses.

This week, the Adv. Orange class reviewed the difference between irregular and regular past tense verbs. They worked together to create a chart, using the verbs from our song for this unit.
